Silex Under Active Thyroid Test 1 test 

Self-test to measure the TSH level in your blood to identify an underactive thyroid. Signs and symptoms of Hypothyroidism : Fatigue, Menorrhagia ( excess bleeding during periods - in females) , Poor memory and concentration. 

The symptoms of an underactive thyroid are often vague and usually develop quite slowly such that you may not notice them. When the body doesn’t have enough thyroid hormone many of the body’s functions slow down.
You should think about underactive thyroid with the following symptoms:

• Tiredness
• Weight gain
• Low mood
• Being sensitive to the cold
• Dry skin and dry hair
• Muscle aches, weakness and cramps
• Constipation
• Loss of libido (sex drive)
• Irregular period or heavy periods
• Carpal tunnel syndrome

Step 1 - Wash your with soap and rinse with clear warm water. Step 2- Open the box and remove the following 6 items ~ pouch - open the pouch and remove its contents, ~ test cassette, ~ Capillary dropper ,~ Buffer , ~ Lancet , ~ Alcohol Pad. Step 3 - Take the lancet and carefully rotate and pull off the cap of the lancet. Dispose of cap once done. Step 4- Use the provided Alcohol pad to clean the fingertip of the middle or ring finger as the puncture site. Allow to air dry. This will be the finger that you collect blood from. Step 5- Take the lancet and using the side of the lancet from where the cap was removed, press down onto the cleaned finger. A small drop of blood should appear. Wipe it with alcohol pad. Step 6 - Collect blood up to the black line indicated on the capillary Dropper. Without squeezing the capillary bulb, place it in contact with the blood on the fingertip. The blood migrates into the capillary dropper through the capillarity. You may message your finger again to obtain more blood, if required. Step 7 - Release and dispense all the blood collected by the capillary dropper into the specimen well(s) of the cassette, by squeezing the dropper bulb. Step 8 - Unscrew the cap of the buffer bottle and add 2 drops of buffer into the Specimen well(s) of the cassette and start a timer. Step 9 - Leave the cassette on clean horizontal surface and wait for the coloured line(s) to appear. Read the results after 10 minutes. Step 10 - Select your results from the four options.
